The FRINGE FESTIVAL opens today in NYC.

What is Fringe NYC you ask???  The New York International Fringe Festival (FringeNYC) is the largest multi-arts festival in North America, with more than 200 companies from all over the world performing for 16 days in more than 20 venues.

Pretty much the fringe is one of the most creative  theatre festivals in the world. The New York Fringe is the only curated fringe in the world, which means once a company submits a show for the festival, it has to be accepted to be a part of the NYC fringe. Unlike other fringes where all are accepted to participate.

I had a show , EYE CANDY, in the New York International Fringe a few years ago and I loved the experience.  Read the review of my show here—> REVIEW

It was a HUGE artistic goal of mine to participate in this one of a kind – world-famous festival. The energy that one gets by being part of the FRINGE is nothing short of exhilarating! FRINGE FEVER!!

This year, I am choreographing a show for my friend and brilliant artist Jerrod Boggard from Wide Eyed Productions.

The show is part of the FRINGEjr series which the family friendly arm of the festival.

FringeNYC celebrates its 15th anniversary this year with the festival running from August 12 – 28, 2011

I hope you come out to support the artists and companies who work so very hard and passionately and often times with minimal funding to put together original mind-blowing shows during this festival.

Goldilocks and the Three Polar Bears is a story about little bratty Goldilocks. She has found herself in the Alaskan tundra facing off with a family of polar bears. This show has an environmental message that is so fitting for these times. The music is all original and written by Jerrod Boggard and Sky Seals and the cast is top notch! Oh and Goldilocks is a puppet and is amazing!

I am really excited about taking Lily to see this show!
