THE SOCIETY OF MSKCC “BUNNY HOP” event
On Tuesday, March 8th, Matt , Lily and I are headed to The Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) as they host the most fun filled family event of the year — called “The Bunny Hop” at FAO Schwartz. This evening is said to be the most high profiled NYC family events of the year!
… And guess who is the Honorary Chair for this event… TINA FEY!!! I love her and hope some of her awesomeness rubs off on me tomorrow night!
Proceeds from this years Bunny Hop will continue to support the Pediatric Family Housing Endowment. This fund pays for overnight stays at a special nearby accommodation when children and families come from out of town for treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Pediatric Department and are unable to afford this expense.
Guests at the Bunny Hop will include a high profile crowd of Society members, celebrity guests and New York Families…like us!
The evening will have a carnival like atmosphere and a wide variety of hands on activities including games games by Kids In Sports; face painting; cupcake and cookie decorating by Eleni’s New York; photo booth, costume dress-up areas; live animal presentations by A Touch of Nature; entertainment by Magic Al the magician; DJs; Clown “Doctors” from The Big Apple Circus Clown Care; and a live musical performance by Broadway Babies. Favorite cartoon characters and “The Hop” movie characters will also be on-hand for fun photo opportunities.
“We’re thrilled to support the Bunny Hop for its special 20th anniversary year,” says Claudio Del Vecchio, Chairman & CEO of Brooks Brothers. “It’s an inspired and magical event that underscores the important work of the society and all they do to lift the spirits of children being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering.”
