Disney Princess and Me

Lily and I went to a fab event this week! The Disney Princess and Me High Tea at the ToysR US in Times Square.

She was really quite excited when we left the house…but in pure lily style…played it cool…as you will see…

She dressed herself …very anti-princess-high-tea like…

Once we got there, we were welcomed by very cheery Princess PR ladies. One asked if she could escort Lily down the ‘pink’ carpet and Lily….well…

In pure Disney fashion, never missing a single detail, Champagne as you enter! Why thank-you I don’t mind if I do!

Next we saw the dolls..really cute and Lily loved them all. She even made me go to Target after we got home and took all her money from her piggie bank to go buy a Disney Princess doll, she didn’t believe me when I told her these dolls would not be in stores until OCTOBER 16. ( WHOA! weird Disney plug!)

There were hair and nail stations and Lily sat through them…pretending not to enjoy it but I saw a sneaky smile once in a while…

When we finally made it over to the “wardrobe” station, Lily got really excited…

or not…but hold up…who is that lady in the background???

Anyways, we went to the photographer to have our picture taken and Lily really turned on the charm…

yea..no.

So we moved on to decorating our picture frames, an activity Lily absolutely enjoyed – arts and crafts…

she stayed there for a while…

Then it was time to gather up all the princesses and take a group shot.

Oh for sure Lily was going to smile…

Well she tried, I’ll give her that

Ok next we had High Tea… oh so cute!

It was a sugar fest to say the least….but what’s a tea party without sugar right. “let em have cake!”

Behold, a lady!

We sat at our tea table for a while..enjoying the heart shaped lollipops, brownies, the petitfores, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries…it was quite delightful and absolutely princess-y.

Lily did make a little  friend from New Jersey and she came over to sit with us…

and the mom looked REALly familiar…hmmm who do I know in New jersey???

It’s TERESA, the spitfire, table flippin RealHousewive of New Jersey.

P.S. *I am a huuuuge  RealHousewives groupie  and NJ was such a dramz season!*

So we spent the afternoon with her and NO…I did not ask her to flip a table. that would have been really rude at a kids event. I kept it together!

Lily ingested more sugary treats while I got the run down about the Disney Princess and Me doll from the loverly PR ladies. It’s going to be a HUGE hit this holiday season, these 18inch dolls are on the market with all the M-A-N-Y others but somehow I think they will do just fine.

and I FINALLY got a smile!!! ( I bribed her with a chocolate covered strawberry)

We left after about 2hrs and Lily changed her clothes the SECOND we got out of the party…

But she did love the party and loved her swag bag!
